Colourise neemt ons mee naar de verborgen wereld van biofluorescentie, waar de duisternis van de nacht verandert in een canvas vol geheime kleurenpracht. Samen met ontdekkingsreiziger en fotograaf David Atthowe reizen we van de koele bossen van het Verenigd Koninkrijk naar de tropische regenwouden van Maleisië. Door ultraviolet licht onthult hij een wereld waarin organismen oplichten in rood, groen, blauw en paars. Zijn camera legt een magisch, buitenaards kleurenpalet vast dat ons herinnert aan de vele mysteries die de natuur nog verborgen houdt, als we bereid zijn om de duisternis binnen te stappen.

Colourise invites us into the hidden world of biofluorescence, where the darkness of night transforms into a canvas for nature’s secret glow. Following explorer and photographer David Atthowe from the temperate forests of the UK to the tropical rainforests of Malaysia, the film reveals organisms that glow with reds, greens, blues, and purple under ultraviolet light. Through his lens, a magical, otherworldly spectrum comes alive, a colourful representation of awe and wonder. It reminds us that nature still holds countless mysteries, waiting to be uncovered if we are willing to step into the darkness.
