In 2020 trad Rik van der Linden als filmmaker in dienst bij de natuur. Sindsdien maakt hij alleen natuurfilms, met een hoofdrol voor de mens. In ‘Een Gemeenschap van Leven’ kijkt natuurfilosoof Matthijs Schouten in de spiegel die de eikenprocessierups ons voorhoudt. In een poëtische reis vol verwondering langs de vele bewoners van de eik komt ook de boom zelf tot leven. En kijkend door zijn ogen worden we wijzer over onszelf…

In 2020, Rik van der Linden entered into the service of nature as a filmmaker. Since then, he has devoted himself exclusively to nature documentaries — with humans in the leading role. In ‘A Community of Life’, Nature-philosopher Matthijs Schouten looks into the mirror that the oak processionary caterpillar holds up to us.
