Yes, 5-ride tickets are for sale from October 1, 2024. With a 5-ride ticket you can choose 5 films from all film screenings in Rotterdam (including the opening, 3D films and Film + Talk), except for the Theme programs.
It is not possible to buy a 5-ride ticket for WFFR Online. If you want to watch several films from WFFR Online, we recommend a passe-partout. With a passe-partout you have access to all online films. A passe-partout for online films can be purchased via this website from November 5, 2024 and is valid until December 5, 2024.
Yes, a passe-partout costs €80. With a passe-partout you can watch all films of WFFR 2024 in Rotterdam for free.
Throughout the month of September you only pay €65 instead of €80 for a passe-partout. From 1 October 2024 you can book free (€0) tickets with your passe-partout.
A passe-partout can also be purchased for WFFR Online. With a passe-partout for WFFR Online you have access to all online films from 1 November to 5 December. You only pay €20 for this. A passe-partouts for WFFR Online can be purchased from 5 November – 5 December 2024 via this website. It is not possible to buy a passe-partout for WFFR Online before 1 November.

Returning tickets for the festival in Rotterdam is not possible. These are final as soon as the payment order has been issued. However, you can exchange your ticket(s) for a regular film on another day or time (if available) for an additional payment of €1 per ticket. Exchange with additional payment is possible up to 1 day before the start of the performance. Send an email to info@wffr.nl.
It is not possible to return or exchange tickets for WFFR Online. If you have any questions about online films from WFFR, you can send an email to online@wffr.nl.
WFFR will be held from November 4 – November 10, 2024 in the Cinerama cinema (Rotterdam). Wageningen Wildlife will take place from 13 – 17 November 2024 in Heerenstraat Theater (Wageningen). WFFR Online lasts from 5 November to 5 December 2024 (throughout the Netherlands).
You can buy tickets for the festival in Rotterdam via our website. These can be purchased both in advance and during festival days. To do this, go to the relevant film page and click on ‘Tickets’. You will then enter a new page and then go through the ordering process. If it is your first visit to WFFR, you must register once.
Buying tickets at the door is only possible on festival days from November 4 – November 10, 2024. Payment at the door can only be made with PIN. The box office opens half an hour before the screening of the first film of the day.
Tickets for WFFR Online can be purchased from November 6 – December 5, 2024 via this website, so not in presale. To do this, go to the relevant film page and click on ‘Online’. You will then enter a new page and then go through the ordering process.

On October 1, 2024, the full festival program including schedule will be announced via this website. From then on, the program booklets will also be available in Cinerama (Westblaak 18, Rotterdam) and in the Central Library (Hoogstraat 110, Rotterdam).
Ever since the first edition in 2015, WFFR has been taking place in Filmtheater Cinerama (Westblaak 18, Rotterdam).
Filmtheater Cinerama is Rotterdam’s oldest cinema right in the center of the city. This location, consisting of 7 cinema screens (of which room 1 is the largest with almost 300 seats), is part of a monumental complex on the Westblaak.
Unfortunately, the cinema halls of Cinerama film theater are not accessible to wheelchair users (the chairs are not allowed in the hall). There is no elevator.
The APCOA parking garage (Hartmansstraat 35, Rotterdam) is a 1-minute walk from Cinerama and the Beurs metro stop is about a 2-minute walk away. There is enough space to park your bicycle in front of the entrance of Cinerama.
A street parallel behind Cinerama is one of the most vibrant streets in Rotterdam; Witte de Withstraat. Here you will find countless cafes, bars, restaurants, night restaurants, hotels and hostels in all price categories.
Wageningen Wildlife is held in Heerenstraat Theater (Molenstraat 1B, Wageningen).
WFFR Online
Yes, you can always pause a movie and resume later. You can pause the movie and resume later, but you must do so within the 48-hour period after you pay for the movie.
You can, but Apple’s AirPlay protocol doesn’t support subtitles that aren’t part of the movie file. This may result in you being able to see subtitles on your laptop but not on your TV if you use Apple TV to stream.
WFFR does not formally support Google Chromecast. You can cast the tab to the Chromecast with Chrome, which works almost as well: https://support.vhx.tv/article/356-watching-chromecasthttps://support.vhx.tv/article/356-watching-chromecast
To enable subtitles, click the CC button in the bottom right corner of your video player and activate the desired language here.
If no CC button appears, but the movie specifications indicate that subtitles are included, you don’t have to activate it yourself. The subtitles are then part of the movie as it appears in the video player. Please note that if a film is spoken in English, in most cases there will be no subtitles.
Tickets are on sale from 5 November 2024 at 00:00. To do this, go to the relevant film page on this website and click on ‘Watch online’. We then ask you to register once (all subsequent times you log in with your own account). You pay with iDEAL. Then click on ‘Go to show’ in your screen. After this you will enter the next screen where you click on ‘Play’. You have 48 hours from when you paid to watch the movie.
Please note: online films from WFFR can only be viewed from the Netherlands. Our films are blocked for foreign countries.
You will also receive a confirmation email at the email address you entered. In this email you will find the link again with which you can watch the film.
You will receive the confirmation email after payment of the online film at the email address you entered. After paying in your banking environment, don’t forget to click on the “Go back to the webshop” button. If you have not received an email, please check your spam box to be sure.
