How you can contribute
From 30 Oct – 5 Nov 2023 the Wildlife Film Festival Rotterdam will take place for the ninth time. As a volunteer you actively contribute to the festival by, for example, receiving visitors at the movie theaters.
What you get in return
Besides an exclusive look behind the scenes, volunteering has more benefits. You will receive a cool WFFR t-shirt, meet lots of new people, be invited to the volunteer drinks and marvel at many films for free.
From when can you sign up as a volunteer
You can sign up from July 1, 2023 via this website. Please also indicate on which day(s) you are available. Candidates will be admitted in order of application.
Practical
During the festival you are the business card of WFFR, you will often be the first point of contact for the audience and therefore play an important role. Therefore, to join our team you have to be at least eighteen years old, look well-groomed and have a good command of the Dutch or English language.
You commit to a minimum of two shifts (preference can be given later). The duration of a shift depends on the task you fulfill, usually it will be between 4 and 5 hours. In addition to your shift, there will be an opportunity to see films. Food and drinks will be provided.
There are several duties such as:
- Hall attendant (including ticket control, handing out tear tickets audience prize)
- Cashier (a.o. ticket sales at central entrance)
- Employee information desk (including providing visitors with information about film screenings)
- Employee other programming (such as the Talks program, VR or drinks)
- Staff member of the guest desk (e.g. receiving guests for events and special screenings)
- Flexibly deployable (backup worker on unexpected jobs)
