De Australische witte Ibis koos er nooit voor om in de steden van Australië te leven, maar door verlies van zijn habitat en droogte vond hij een veilig onderkomen in de straten van Brisbane. Hij wist aan uitsterven te ontsnappen en vond een nieuw leven door afval te eten en in parken te slapen. Door dit bijzondere succes viel hij op en de buurtbewoners kregen een voorliefde voor het dier. Ze gaven het zelfs een nieuwe bijnaam: The Bin Chicken. The Australian White Ibis never chose to live in the cities of Australia, but due to habitat loss and drought it found a safe haven around the streets of Brisbane. It managed to escape extinction and found a new life eating leftover rubbish and sleeping in parks. Its success turned a few heads and local residents developed a liking to the animal, and even gave it a new nickname: The Bin Chicken. But will the Ibis be able to handle the spotlight and shine as the next Olympic mascot?
